Tugu Negara

Hello. Today, I want to share with all of you about Tugu Negara in Malaysia. Tugu negara is a public national monument that is very historic in this country. But firts, I would like to share the intangible meanings about Object : National Monument (Tugu Negara).

1.  Tugu Negara (OBJECT) :

The monument describes a group of troops carrying the national flags, Jalur Gemilang. Each bronze statue symbolizes leaders, bizarre, readiness, strength, courage and sacrifice.

Tugu Negara was built in 1996, it stands 15 meters high, made of bronze and were designed by Austrian Sculptor Felix de Weldon who is responsible for the USMC War in Memorial in Virginia, USA. Tugu Negara is also the highest sculpture in the world. 

2. The intangible meaning :

It is located in the capital, Kuala Lumpur near the Parliament Building. This monument were built as a memorial. Besides that, this is one of the attraction in Malaysia that have succeed attracted the tourists. Also, it has increased the sense of patriotism in a person when they look at the monument.

3. The universal concepts of Tugu Negara :

Tugu Negara as a honor of over 11 thousand soldiers that killed in the First World War (1914-1918), World War II (1935-1942) and during the world Emergency (1948-1960). It is located in the capital, Kuala Lumpur near the Parliament Building.

4. The audience of Tugu Negara :

Malaysian citizens and tourists are the audience of Tugu Negara. Every year, on November 11, a parade of salutes will be held at Tugu Negara.

5. Theme statement of  Tugu Negara :

'Memories of the world's heroes'
